Melanie Platten

Melanie Platten has a passion for television programming and set her sights on further establishing this creative business in the Boston market. After graduating from George Washington University with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy, the entertainment industry beckoned and Melanie headed to Los Angeles to work for Circle of Confusion, a production company specializing in film production and intellectual property management. She then landed a coveted position at Creative Artist Agency (CAA) working in the television packaging department on several network projects including HBO’s Hung, ABC’sModern Family, and the Emmy Award-winning Fox TV hit show Glee.  While working at CAA, Melanie served as a chair of the planning committee for the 2009 Young Hollywood Party and was a member of CAA’s Young Comedy Club that was responsible for identifying and promoting young comedic talent.  Since joining styleboston Melanie has produced and hosted segments with Ben Affleck, Mark Wahlberg and Adrian Grenier.  As the show’s Associate Producer, and Spotlight host, Melanie has produced segments ranging from charity events to off-roading.

    Very impressive resume indeed. How does she relate to the other —percent of Boston who do not profit from the more prestigious and high profile foundations she supports??!!
