Creator/Executive Producer

Terri Stanley

Terri Stanley is a writer, film and television producer, content creator, and an interviewer. Her projects range from traditional media to online content and include award-winning short films and a television program that won two regional Emmy Awards.

She is the co-writer and executive producer with Frank Quaratiello of “Double or Nothing,” a script based on true events about the rise and fall of a Boston real estate developer during the city’s dramatic modernization of the late 20th Century. At the center of the story is a dynamic and visionary man who saw his innovations stymied by a city that is resistant to change.

As a proponent of new media ventures, Terri is on the board of Experience 3 Media, an entertainment, technology and commerce company that crafts diverse television shows with a focus on unique characters and impactful stories.

Terri is a producer and an executive producer on several film projects including, “Fashion Films: A New Language,” a documentary short on the fashion film industry that opened the International Fashion Film Festival. She also produced a short

film “Jeunesse de la Voyeur,” which chosen as the Best Creative award recipient at the 2021 La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival. The film was produced by Creative Director Cheryl Neeson with Jason Margaca of V-Neck Media as the cinematographer. She served on the board of the San Diego International Film Festival and the festival’s Foundation. Terri was the San Diego Film Festival’s President of Strategic Partnerships in 2019.

Previously, after a decade in magazine journalism, Terri founded a 30-minute, Boston-based newsmagazine television show. As styleboston’s creator and executive producer, she oversaw the development of the weekly, 30-minute lifestyle television show (from business plan, to production and to the successful launch and run) that aired on both broadcast (NBC and ABC) and cable channels throughout New England. Her work on “styleboston” also included on-air hosting and oversight of many aspects of production. The show

received four New England Emmy Award nominations, and recorded high ratings on ABC and CBS stations in Boston. She secured major sponsorships, and coordinated a print marketing and branding campaign with broadcast-partner Boston magazine.

As audiences migrated away from appointment viewing, styleboston transitioned from an award-winning television show to a fully integrated digital platform with a robust social media presence, styleboston was re-invented as an online platform with video content, a blog, and an archive of the segments that aired on the 30-minute show. In 2016, styleboston.tv added a full slate of content from Southern California and in 2017 launched www.leftcoast.la. (The sites and content are currently undergoing a reconstruction as part of a content archiving project.)

Terri earned her media stripes as Executive Editor of Boston Common, the luxury lifestyle magazine, where she interviewed leaders in business, sports, and entertainment. Terri was part of the team that launched the glossy magazine, and later became the Executive Editor. In that role, Terri oversaw overall creative direction for six issues a year, and oversaw a team of two dozen writers, stylists and photographers as well as an in-house designer and interns.

Terri serves on the board of the Stanley Family Foundation, which supports a host of leading cultural, literacy, youth health, community activities and cancer research organizations in New England including: Neighborhood Homework House, the Corey C. Griffin Foundation, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Plymouth Library Foundation; Rhode Island Social Skills Academy, and Boston Latin School Association.
